Moconá Virgin Lodge is a jungle lodge immersed in the heart of the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve, in the province of Misiones, Argentina, steps away from the impressive Moconá Falls.
Trails, natural waterfalls, streams, and native fauna and flora make up the natural environment of the destination. Together with the exquisite gastronomy of regional inspiration you will be able to have a true jungle experience.

Moconá Virgin Lodge’s vision is to be a benchmark of commitment and quality in terms of accommodation, gastronomy, activities, and jungle experience, always protecting our natural environment and generating solid links with all those who are related to our Lodge, under a sustainable tourism model.
That is why we assume a strong commitment to sustainability, developing programs and implementing actions that guide us on the path to fulfilling our vision.
Our commitment is materialized from the following policies, programs and plans:
• Service quality program.
• Compensation program for our carbon footprint: “I invite you to plant a tree”.
• Rational water use plan.
• Energy efficiency plan.
• Local labour skills development program.
• Relationship program with Guaraní communities.
• Policy of respect for social and cultural diversity.
Implemented sustainability measures:
- A towel and linen reuse programme is available for guests.
- Preference is given to using biodegradable and/or environmentally friendly products for personal care amenities, cleaning and housekeeping activities.
- Actions to eliminate or reduce single-use containers and amenities are implemented.
- Straws and drink stirrers are not offered.
- Water refill stations are available, and guests are encouraged to use them.
Cups, plates, and silverware are reusable.
Amenities are presented in reusable or refillable containers or dispensers. - The company has a waste management plan in place that promotes the reduction, recycling and responsible disposal among staff and guests/visitors/passengers.
- The company uses hybrid electric vehicles and other forms of low carbon emission transportation for at least 50% of its operations.
- 100% of the employees are Argentine
- Energy-saving and efficient lighting devices are used in at least 75% of the facilities (e.g. rooms, public facilities, back of the house, etc.).
- A sustainability policy is in place and implemented, defining the company’s long-term environmental, social and climate goals. (add link to public posting of Sustainability Policy)
- A purchasing policy that favours local, environmentally friendly and socially conscious purchasing practices is implemented.
- Opportunities are available for guests to support biodiversity conservation or social development efforts at the local destination.
- Company has adopted policies and procedures to prevent any form of discrimination, modern slavery, exploitation and child labour.
- The company has adopted a public policy and procedures to prevent child and adolescents sexual exploitation as a result of tourism activities.
- Job opportunities are available to everyone, irrespective of gender, under the same conditions.
- Company actively supports social initiatives that are beneficial for its community.
- Natural and Cultural High Conservation Values are identified, and their preservation formally supported.
- Water-saving devices are used in at least 75% of the facilities (e.g. showers, toilets, kitchens, laundry, etc.).
